Hi Sophie,

I experienced the same as you, when I did an internship in Moscow. I came across the whiteboard for the first time which seemed to be beneficial to me. Since, I have never seen one before in a German school, tt was quite a surprising experience.
In my opinion, media skills schould be enhanced in German schools today or at least the ability to create a power point presentation in order to prepare the students for the university or other education paths. However, to achieve this aim, schools need to be better equipped!

hello sophie,
your blog entry sounds really familiar to me this week:) i had the same problem of not finding anything on the homepage. All I could write about, too, was to remember how it was when I went to school. Just as in your case, we had few "Internet- lessons". Therefore, I really liked your idea to write about your experiences with the new media in England. It is especially interesting for those who haven't been there in school (yet). well done:)

Hi Sophie,
first of all, I have to say that I really liked reading through your entry about the e-journal.To my mind, it is a good idea to communicate and to learn another language.
I also had some difficulties in finding material as you mentioned in your introductory part. I think it was nice structured and by using the "read more"-button the reader does not feel overwhelmed with information.
You tried to explain the project and you also used "links". I liked your entry!:)

Hi Sophie,

your blog entry is great! You really provide a lot of information how to use New Media in school. I think the e-twinning page you describe is a helpful webpage for teachers. You can get creative ideas there. But I also think that a lot of the ideas are quite time-consuming, don't you think?
Thanks for introducing so many ideas...;-)

See ya.

hey sophie!
wow!! i'm quite impressed by your post! you obviously put a lot of time in creating it! i really liked that you made further research and cited from other sources. for every given communication tool you named possible methods for the classroom... in addition, you did not forget to name the disadvantages. i agree with you when saying that internet communication should only be used in cases when there is an advantage over regular communication!
BTW, i really like your layout: it is very well arranged!

hello sophie,
I absolutely agree with you that the existing disadvantages of Internet research should be taken into consideration, too. To name the different possibilities of research tools is also a good idea. The aspects of skills and evaluation are very important to mention, as you did, but I think you could have written your opinion concerning the free/ guided searches in class. All in all, you have done very well:)
kind regards, tina

Hi Sophie,

I have to say that I l liked reading your entry about the posters. First of all, it was well structured and easy to understand. Moreover, I totally agree with you on the fact, that one should not only use one method in teaching. There should be a wide range of methods. I also think that you are right saying that we also need "fact learning" in order to get a general knowledge.
All in all, I think you got the content of the poster right and explained quite well what you think.

Dear Sophie,

After reading your blog entry I can say that I totally agree with what you said at the end of your blog. I also think that nowadays it is more important to help students to develop solution strageties instead of just making them learning facts by heart, as you said:"Media competence is in that context of great relevance as it enables the learner to retrieve information. The obtained information has to be structured, stored, and evaluated by the learner, wherefore he needs methodological skills."
Furthermore, I liked how you structured your blog and that you summarized the main ideas at the beginning!
Thank you for your blog ;-)

Regards,
Christin
